The Nottinghamshire Training Network Awards 2009 will build on the success of previous Awards and will continue to celebrate and recognise the achievement, excellence and dynamism of individuals and employers of Nottinghamshire. The Graduation Ceremony and Awards Dinner will be held on 28th January 2010 at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
As a Sponsor your company name and identity will be associated with all aspects of the Nottinghamshire Training Network Awards 2009.
Pre 16 Award – For young people (aged between 14 -16 years) who have
achieved or are working towards an NVQ/vocational qualification whether it’s a 14 – 19 project or work based learning.
Personal Achiever – This award is for learners who have made a considerable amount of progress with their learning and are proud of their personal achievement.
E2E Award – This award is to recognise the achievement of young people on the E2E programmes who have either achieved a qualification or are working towards one.
Apprenticeship (Level 2 framework) – If you’re entering this award, you will have achieved or be working towards the Apprenticeship framework.
Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3 framework) – For those who have completed or are working towards the Advanced Apprenticeship framework.
Progression Award – This is designed for learners who are now undertaking or who have achieved a higher level qualification or professional award following their work based learning programme. For example an NVQ Level 4 or a HNC programme or moved on to university (full time or part time) to continue their studies.
Training Provider Award – This is to recognise the achievement of certain member of staff and the organisation. If you feel that your training provider/ staff member has made an exceptional contribution, then please put them forward.
Employer Award – For those employers who are particularly supportive of training within the work place and who have supported or are supporting young people to achieve qualifications.
Train to Gain Award - For those employees who have completed or are working towards completing a qualification at level 2,3, 4 or Skills for Life

The Graduation Ceremony is for Advanced Apprentices who complete their full Advanced Apprenticeship Framework during 2009 (between January and December 2009). The ceremony is just like a university style graduation, complete with gowns and mortarboards. The Graduation provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate success in learning with the formal recognition in accomplishing 'skills graduate' status.

The awards are aimed at learners, their employer and/or learning provider involved in delivering the work-based learning programmes across Nottinghamshire. These programmes are fundamental in raising the skills of young people and thus developing a greater skilled workforce.
There are 9 different award categories and the winner from each category will win a fantastic trophy and £300 worth of vouchers (of your choice) and two runners up will win a fantastic trophy and £100 worth of vouchers (of your choice).
The finalists from each category will be invited to an Oscar style awards ceremony, which will be hosted by Nottinghamshire Training Network.

Last Year's Graduation Ceremony was for 122 Advanced Apprentices who complete their full Advanced Apprenticeship Framework during 2008 (between January and December 2008).
Sam Hynd the Para-Olympic Gold Medallist was our guest of honour. Sam Hynd made headlines at Beijing 2008 for his gold and bronze medal achievements.

The Awards Ceremony was hosted by Clive Gott and was full to capacity with Training Providers, Finalists and Employers.
The Overall Winner of the WBL Awards was Paul Bolton who currently works for Barnados in Alfreton and Paul's Training Provider - Positive Outcomes were there to celebrate his achievements with him.
Paul Boulton won the 2008 Overall Winner Award and then went on to win the Regional Awards andhe is now awaiting the results of the National Training Awards Final.

NTN are pleased to announce that JHP will be sponsoring the Overall Winners Award at their 2009 Work Based Learning Awards to be held on the 28th January 2010 at the East Midlands conference Centre.
The venue for this year's Awards and Graduation ceremony was the East Midlands Conference Centre. The East Midlands Conference Centre is a purpose-built venue set in 330 acres of landscaped parkland, close to Nottingham city centre and all major roads, and rail links. The venue this year, will be bigger, and by using the conference theatre for the Graduation, we will create a professional atmosphere. The Awards evening took place in the banqueting suite.
