Entry to Employment is a training programme delivered by various training providers for Young People who are not ready for employment.
The programmes can include:
Personal Social Development
Work Tasters
NVQ Level 1 or equivalent qualifications
e2e programmes are usually available through Connexions. The training however takes place with a Training Provider. There is no time limit and Young People will be assessed prior to commencement to evaluate the programme that is the most suitable and to complete an individual plan.
Young people can move between providers in order to complete their plan. e2e programmes are not waged but a training allowance of £40 per week is paid.

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
Although you do not get a wage on the e2e programmes, you may be eligible for weekly Education Maintenance Allowance payments of £10, £20 or £30 per week.
To be eligible for EMA, you need to have an annual household income of no more than £30,810.
