The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance in May rose by 19,600 to 1.49 million with the jobless rate among 16 to 24-year-olds standing at a staggering 19.4%. At NCFE, we've thought long and hard about how we can address this situation of high youth unemployment. We want to be in a position to help learners find the employment opportunities available to them, either through apprenticeship posts or at the end of their qualifications.
We recognise that employment and employability are areas where expert knowledge can help, which is why we engaged in discussions with Reed in Partnership, the leading recruitment and HR service provider. As a result of these discussions, we have formed an innovative collaboration with REED which is set to support learners into the labour market quickly and smoothly.

Good afternoon All
Please find attached details of some upcoming courses to be held at NTN. Cygnus has approached NTN as they have had significant interest in 2 workshops being run on behalf of LSIS.
Unfortunately, the LSIS funding offered through Northampton College for sales training courses has now been fully allocated, a number of you were quick off the mark and have qualified for the free training.
Due to the significant interest from other members and although there will be no further LSIS funding, those at Cygnus would like to offer NTN’s Members a low cost opportunity to enrol on courses designed to help you increase your sales and selling efficiency.
Cygnus would like to offer NTN members to attend the courses for an attractive delegate fee of £50.00 per head (excluding VAT), this price includes refreshments and a buffet lunch. The courses would be run at NTN, Mansfield Business Centre, Ashfield Avenue, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, NG18 2AE.
All courses will start at 9.30am and close at 4.00pm.
Please find attached the course outlines for Increasing Sales & Selling Efficiency to be run on 13th and 28th September and Sales for Non Sales People to be run on 11th and 27th October.
To register your interest, please follow this link.
The closing date to book on to these courses will be the 19th August 2011, so please book your place now to avoid disappointment.
All payments must be received before the course date.
